Raymond Giang | Founder
1. What is your role at Pro Pickle?
I’m one of the founders of Pro Pickle, focused on building and running the day-to-day experience of the venue. From programming and events to how the space feels on court, I’m involved in making sure players have a great time every time they walk in. I’m passionate about growing the game and creating a pathway where anyone can get involved and improve.
2. How did you get into pickleball?
My good mate and business partner David introduced it to me while we were on holidays in Vietnam. I was actually making fun of him because he was playing so much of it. Next minute, we’ve opened one!
3. What do you enjoy most about working at Pro Pickle?
Seeing the joy on people’s faces when they step onto dedicated pickleball courts, especially when they try it for the first time and instantly love it. What’s really special is seeing the diversity of players, from 5-year-olds to people in their 80s, sharing the court together. Many of our regulars now feel like part of the Pro Pickle community, and we love creating programs that bring our diverse community together.
4. What's your playing style or favourite shot?
Thanks to a long-term injury that limits my running, my playing style is: You chase the balls, I’ll stand at the net.

David Nguyen | Founder
What is your role at Pro Pickle
I'm one of the Founders and Managing Partners here at Pro Pickle and my role is to make sure that everyone who joins our community for pickleball, feels comfortable, safe and be able to grow into the player that they want to become. My job ensures that we live up to our motto where people from all walks of life can come together with the same passion of pickleball and play at their own pace.
How did you get into pickleball?
I grew up playing tennis, but a knee injury forced me to stop. While travelling in Vietnam, I discovered pickleball and immediately loved it, it brought me back to the court without pain. When I returned to Sydney, I couldn’t find a place with the same energy, so I decided to create one. That’s how Pro Pickle Australia was born.
What do you enjoy most about working at Pro Pickle?
For me, what I enjoy most is seeing our community smile on court, from big winning shots to lucky ones that just make it over the net. Watching people genuinely enjoy the game is what drives me to keep improving the experience for everyone.
What's your playing style or favourite shot?
My playing style is definitely one of a banger, but I’m evolving into a more strategic player with drops, dinks, and speed-ups. My favourite shot is simply when the ball goes exactly where I want it.

1. What is your role at Pro Pickle?
I’m the Crew Manager at Pro Pickle, overseeing the day-to-day operations and making sure everything runs smoothly. I coordinate events, support our team, and ensure every guest has a seamless and enjoyable experience from the moment they walk through the door.
2. How did you get into pickleball?
I was introduced to pickleball through friends and was instantly hooked by how fun, social, and competitive it can be all at the same time.
3. What do you enjoy most about working at Pro Pickle?
What I enjoy most is the people both our team and our guests. There’s something special about seeing players of all levels come together, improve their skills, and genuinely enjoy themselves. Being part of creating that atmosphere every day is incredibly rewarding.
4. What's your playing style or favourite shot?
I like to think I bring a calm, steady approach to the court focusing on consistency and placement.

George Millichamp | Crew Member
What is your role at Pro Pickle
As a Crew Member here at Pro Pickle, I make sure that the bookings are managed and that everyone is having a good time on the courts. I mostly handle the 1on1 sessions when I'm working making sure that the fundamentals explained properly for those just starting out.
How did you get into pickleball?
The tennis club I played with in England started running social nights for Pickleball in 2025. While visiting home I started playing and then carried on when I got back to Australia.
What do you enjoy most about working at Pro Pickle?
I love chatting to people from all walks of life and parts of the world. I enjoy helping beginners to learn and play the game. But most importantly is getting players to be active, social and having some friendly competition while on court.

The ones that land in the court
How would you describe yourself in 3 words?

Jivin Murali | Tier 3 Coach
What is your role at Pro Pickle?
I’m part of the crew at Pro Pickle and also coach at a Tier 3 level. Day to day, I help keep everything running smoothly with bookings and operations, and jump on court to coach or compete when needed. At the end of the day, it’s all about making sure everyone has a great experience.
How did you get into pickleball?
I came from a tennis background, so when I first tried pickleball, it just clicked. I loved how fast-paced it is, but also how much strategy is involved.
What do you enjoy most about working at Pro Pickle?
Honestly, the indoor setup is a big one, not having to worry about the weather makes a huge difference. But more than that, it’s the team. Everyone’s supportive and it’s just a great environment to be around.
What's your playing style or favourite shot?
I’d say I play an attacking style but stay pretty composed. My favourite shot would have to be the single-handed backhand.
How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
Energetic. Competitive. Grounded.

I enjoy the welcoming environment that pro pickle invites, the competitiveness of individuals, as well as the connection everyone has with one another
What's your playing style or favourite shot?
As I'm still getting into the sport, my playing style is still under development. Just being able to hit a ball back and forth without the ball going out and connecting the paddle with the ball brings me joy.

I work as a Crew Member at Pro Pickle responsible for all the fun you have on the courts. You'll usually see me on the evening shifts managing the social play event, DUPR nights and on the courts ensuring everyone is having great time.

How did you get into pickleball?
I started playing pickleball by joining a social one day and fell in love with it as it is easy to learn and a social sport which suited my exercise physiology degree.
What do you enjoy most about working at Pro Pickle?
What I love seeing here at Pro Pickle is when customers hit sick shots that wow me so I can steal that shot for myself.
What's your playing style or favourite shot?
Cheekily, my favourite shot is when I hit the ball at David. I would consider my playing style is composed and looking for opportunities for attacking shots to be set up with my doubles partner and executing it in fashion.

How did you get into pickleball?
Stumbled into pickleball from a friend and ended up loving it! As a former top 50 Australian tennis player and world-ranked competitor, it was something that I could leverage off my prior experience and transition them towards the pickleball court.

I love seeing players come back after their first sessions and welcoming them back to the Pro Pickle community. It is genuinely satisfying to see our customers growth as they continue to play.
